Hawaiian Eye Foundation Activities
Hawaiian Eye Foundation promotes optimal
eye care for people of the Pacific Basin through service, education,
and research programs that support the development of local
capacity and infrastructure.
Current Activities
- Expeditions that have provided free eye surgery and training in the Pacific Basin since 1984;
- Training Programs that have taught advanced techniques to hundreds of eye doctors in Viet Nam since 2006;
- Outreach Programs, including training
scholarships, equipment and supply donations, and research
projects benefiting unserved and underserved people of the
Pacific.
- Royal Hawaiian Eye Meetings that for
30 years have provided continuing education for US eye surgeons.
