Hawaiian Eye Foundation  Fiji Expedition Gallery

We first visited Fiji in the early 1980’s, but our Fiji humanitarian expeditions have moved into higher gear over the last few years.

Dr. Jeff Rutgard, a Foundation Board member, has been leading teams providing eye care and surgery in the village of Taveuni Island, and we have helped to build a clinic for the people of Taveuni. Dr. Rutgard has performed over 1,000 cataract surgeries in Fiji.
