Welcome to Hawaiian Eye Foundation!

Since 1984, the non-profit Hawaiian Eye Foundation has been dedicated to promoting the preservation, restoration, and improvement of vision for people of the Pacific Basin through charitable service, education, and research programs.

PACIFIC EYE CARE NEEDS

Republic of Kiribati Expedition People of the Pacific Basin, because of isolation and impoverishment, are often unserved or underserved by eye care practitioners, and face urgent needs for the prevention and treatment of vision loss and blindness due to conditions such as cataracts, pterygium (related to sun exposure), diabetic retinopathy, and corneal trauma.

Tonga Expedition
  • Expeditions to Pacific Basin countries providing humanitarian eye surgery and training. link »
  • Imperial City Eye Meetings in Viet Nam teaching Vietnamese eye surgeons advanced techniques. link »
  • Outreach programs, including training scholarships, equipment and supply donations, and research projects. link »
  • Royal Hawaiian Eye Meetings providing continuing education for U.S. eye surgeons annually for 30 years.  link »
